She studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts “Hernando Siles” in La Paz, Bolivia, and also developed part of her artistic training in Washington D.C., including studies in drawing and painting at the Corcoran Institute.
For twenty years, Isabel held the Chair of Drawing and Painting as a specialist subject at the National Academy of Fine Arts “Hernando Siles” in La Paz, where she developed a strong academic teaching method based on observation, proportion, composition, colour theory and the human figure. Since moving to Italy, she has continued teaching drawing, painting, watercolour, ceramics, jewellery design and artistic research in Verona.
Her artistic career includes exhibitions in Bolivia, the United States, Argentina, Italy and Belgium, including several exhibitions in Italian cities such as Milan, Venice, Vicenza and Verona, as well as participation in an international jewellery biennial in Spain. Her work includes painting, drawing, ceramic sculpture, one-of-a-kind jewellery design and scenography. She is the founder of Isa Art Studio and ArTango.618 Cultural Association in Verona, where she brings together visual arts education, creative workshops and cultural experiences connected with Verona, Italian art history and Argentine tango. The studio also works with a small network of professional artists and guest instructors, including Lucía Arraya Espinoza for contemporary painting and visual expression, Sergio Capellini for sculpture and wax modelling, and Juan Carlos Espinoza for photography and graphic design workshops.

Additional Workshops

Expertise

The studio offers courses and workshops for beginners, intermediate students and students with previous academic or artistic training. The teaching combines strong academic foundations with personal creative development, exploring academic art as a starting point for contemporary creation. Students work from observation, the natural model, proportion, composition and colour, while also exploring modern art movements, synthesis, abstraction and personal interpretation. The aim is not to remain in a closed classical approach, but to use technique as a foundation for building confidence, creativity and an individual artistic language.
