Annette Luycx (M.A. in Art Education, Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), Baltimore) is a Dutch artist, author, art educator, and creative coach living and working in Greece. For more than twenty years, she has guided artists of all levels—from beginners to professionals—in discovering their unique artistic voice through collage, mixed media, ceramics, and creative development.

For nine years, she taught ceramics at St. Catherine’s British Embassy School in Athens, alongside teaching art and personal development at schools and cultural centres throughout the city. Her teaching combines technical skills with a deep understanding of the creative process, encouraging students to develop confidence, authenticity, and a distinctive visual language.

She is the author of From Art to Empowerment: How Women Can Develop Artistic Voice, a practical workbook that blends studio practice, personal reflection, and creative exercises to support artistic growth.

As a collage artist, Annette creates expressive photomontage portraits and cinematic compositions inspired by theatre, mythology, surrealism, nature, and the human psyche. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and cultural institutions in Europe and the United States, reflecting her ongoing engagement as a practicing visual artist.

She is also the founder of IRIS ART CENTRE, an independent creative centre set on a peaceful 2.5-acre estate just 35 minutes north of Athens. Combining a spacious villa, professional studio, and warm hospitality, IRIS offers artist residencies, retreats, workshops, and online mentoring. It provides an inspiring environment for artistic exploration while giving participants the opportunity to experience Athens’ world-renowned museums, archaeological sites, and vibrant contemporary art scene.
