Ana holds workshops and educational sessions at Pátio D’Artes in Portimão – a unique creative space for educational activities, including visual and decorative art.
The space caters for a wide range of artistic interests: fine art, collage, painting and clay sculpting. Classes run throughout the year but are most popular in Summer. The space caters for all ability levels, Portugese and non-Portugese speakers.
Since childhood, Ana Rita has been passionate about nature, wildlife drawing and colours. Hailing from Silves,
Algarve, she took a degree in Arts & Multimedia.
To fulfill her will of learning more about drawing, she studied scientific illustration which has redirected her to what she loves doing today: teaching.
Her work is based on representation of nature, details, realism and curiosity about all the natural forms and beings. Throughout the years she has been developing illustration workshops, scientific illustration classes in partnership with wildlife and environmental associations, art schools and libraries.
