Progression
Throughout the course, students are guided through the various units via online lessons which can be viewed at a time convenient for the individual, whether live, or recorded. Live lessons are taught twice weekly, which are also recorded for students to catch up on, or to watch again. Lessons will initially focus on developing composing skills and listening & appraising. One-to-one support sessions are available, if required, with the tutor to discuss each unit and assignment, and provide feedback on progress. The course begins with Induction where students discuss their previous background and desired route through the course and beyond. Students are guided through an overview of the course and what is required.
Feedback is provided on each piece of work and each assignment set for students. This can be via chat or interactive through the sharing of submitted work. Final submissions are marked in accordance with the specification assessment criteria and moderated with colleagues also experienced with the OCR specification.
The course will follow the current OCR GCSE specification.
